STATEMENT

This project was primarily MegAnne Stryker's, a tribute to the late Joey Jordison, drummer of Slipknot. On September 18th, 2021, we had taken over 400 pictures, intending to display them in a mini gallery. However, on the second night of principal photography, a major fallout between us cut the shoot short, leaving it incomplete. Four months later, we decided it would be best to call it quits. In October 2022, as I was wrapping up my loose ends in model photography and preparing for my final shoot in England, this remained the last incomplete project. Disliking unfinished work, I revisited the project's objective: a tribute to the drummer. I figured there had to be at least one picture that would satisfy this goal. While I didn't want to create the mini gallery Ms. Stryker and I had originally planned, I also didn't want the project to fully live up to its name. I spent a day sifting through the pictures to find one that perfectly fit the narrative and scope of the project—and I found it. During my long flight to England, I used my MacBook Pro to edit the chosen photo, creating three versions: the original, a black and white version, and a dark-colored version. Upon landing, I sent the photos to Ms. Stryker in PDF format, declaring the project complete. Although this process yielded only one final photo, it also produced several behind-the-scenes videos, which are included below in the Photo & Video Commentary dropdown.

*Bad Day & DISASTERP1ECE were billed out unofficially as YeggeStryker productions as they were attempts at revitalizing the efforts inspired by the creation of Sonancy.Studio
