What is The Collective?

The collective is a collection of tracks reinterpreted and streamed in FLAC format, and presented to you online in a blog format with reoccuring updates. Everything is sorted out by categories, and the categories are simply COVERS & ORIGINALS, and may change over time. The first category, "Covers" represent sound recordings derived from other bands all reinterpreted into the dark style of Angershade by Brian Yeggee. The second category, "Originals" are very similar, the only difference is the orignials derive from Angershade original compositions. They are reinterpretations & demos of already published compositions.

Will "The Collective" always be free and why is it free?

With regards to the way its laid out now yes. Its been determined that it is to difficult a challenge to negotiate deals with publishers of the cover songs Brian provides and not a straight forward way to define the revenue stream from artist to artists, so "The collective" will always remain free and for personal use and enjoyment only, all content offered is for non-commercial use.

What is the state of the tracks offered and how is the quality

Although all streams are offered up in FLAC format all the tracks offered up are in demo form, so quality will vary. There is nothing in the collective that is mastered for distribution as a final production. All are works in progress and/or shelved indefinitely.
